I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and severe anxiety and unable to work, as a result of that my bodyweight steadily increased and I ended up 22st 4 pounds, in April 2017. I decided enough was enough. I was sick of not being able to walk without crutches, breathe and do the simplest of tasks like cleaning myself, so I joined my local Anytime Fitness and got diet advise and help from Darryl with strength training for weight loss and functional strength. Over the past (almost) year I have tried all sorts of different workout plans and diets and have pushed myself mentally and physically to become a healthier happier version of myself.
So far I have lost 7 stone and can squat, bench, deadlift and overhead press with good form, I have gained a lot of strength, mostly I'm happy with the fact that I no longer need crutches and can work now and have been in employment since December 2017
