With the chemotherapy I added extra weight which I felt really uncomfortable with. I hated the way I looked and knew I needed to do something about it and join the gym to add muscle. I knew it was a personal challenge and knew only me could accomplish the task I set in front of me. Having cancer twice the motivation to succeed was through the roof. Once I began training I had a lot of days where I felt pain from the second treatment, I had my concerns throughout but kept pushing myself so I reached my goal. In life I always give 110% in whatever I do. I don't quit and if anyone ever goes through the same in life just remember, always give 110%.
My achievements long term we're to achieve a bench press of 140kg. I completed 50kg each dumbbell between September-November. Beating cancer twice is a great achievement and be bigger than my father. All of the above I have now done.
